Steampunk Butterflies

So, this was a request for DymphnaRochester for a possible tattoo design.
She wanted me to do different steampunk butterflies in the water coloured style. She also asked for purple and blue... And so, all of that turned to these.
I made three different butterflies based on the subgenres of steampunk culture. 
The first one is a Clockpunk butterfly. That focuses on gears and cogs and the analog machinery. You can see the inner workings of the butterfly, and the antennae are clock hands. 
The second is based on Boilerpunk, which focuses on the industrial blue-collar type things like steam trains and steam boats. This is a literal steam powered butterfly. The coal is burning on the inside, and see the steam and smoke come out of the antennae. It doesn't really use the colour scheme, but it's a nice, metal butterfly.
This one was a stretch. This is based on the Raygun Gothic subgenres, which is more science fiction than anything I used bright, sort of retro colours and typical Raygun things like the ray barrels and the small tesla antennae. I thought it looked kinda elegant... Maybe?

Anyways! I had a good time with this. This was the first time I did digital butterflies and WR art, so I'm pretty happy with it.
